Benjamin Nurkić holds a PhD in Public and International Law and serves as an external constitutional expert for the Constitutional Committee of the House of Representatives in the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

His previous research roles include working with the Atlantic Initiative, the Tuzla Open Center, and Freedom House. During his PhD studies, he spent a semester at the Faculty of Law, Administration, and Economics at the University of Wrocław, attended the Hague Academy of International Law, and took part in the Summer School on Law of the Council of Europe at the University of Liverpool. He has also been a visiting researcher at the European University Institute, the University of Graz, and at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law.

The main focus of his research is the protection of human rights and establishing the rule of law in post-conflict societies. He published articles in domestic and international journals.
