Ramic Sanja is an Experienced legal and human rights specialist with 19 years of experience in European integration, legal harmonization with the EU, international law, and human rights.
Proven track record in aligning national legislation with EU standards, including GDPR, human rights due diligence, and ESG frameworks. Skilled in bridging the gap between legislation and practice, providing advisory support and training on regulatory compliance for public institutions and private companies.
Recognized for my ability to translate complex legal research into actionable policy insights, I have contributed to the preparation of reports, studies, guidelines and strategic recommendations that advance BiH’s EU integration goals.
Extensive experience in institutional capacity building, legislative reform, and strategic planning for EU accession and EU legal harmonization in Chapters 23 and 24. I have collaborated with government bodies, civil society, and international organizations to support Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EU integration, including as an external adviser to civil society platforms and a board member of a Dutch-BiH think tank focused on European integration. Building on my strong foundation in legal harmonization and human rights, I am expanding my focus to emerging challenges in AI regulation and digital governance.
My qualifications include an LL.M. in European and International Human Rights Law from the Leiden University, an M.Sc. in European Studies (EU Law), and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University in Sarajevo.
