Adina Ponta is a Legal Consultant at the World Bank, focusing on Digital Transformation & Cloud Strategy. She previously served as advisor to the President of the Committee on Information Technology and Communications in the Romanian Parliament. Prior to that, she was a teaching lecturer at the Babeș-Bolyai University in Romania and a postdoctoral researcher at the Law School’ s Center for Business Law & Information Technology.
She was the 2020 Detlev F. Vagts International Law Fellow at the American Society of International Law. Before this fellowship, she spent four years in the legal offices of two NATO headquarters, where she advised on the lawful conduct of armed forces during conflict and peacetime military operations. Her professional experience includes assignments in the German Parliament, United Nations, embassies, and in academia.
She has an LL.M. in international law and a Ph.D. in business law.
